Prominent supporters of Wesley Medical Research awarded Australia Day honours

Wesley Medical Research congratulates current Research Committee member Dr Michael Gardner and former Board member Mr Neil Summerson for being appointed a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia.

Dr Gardner was awarded this honour for his significant service to cardio-thoracic medicine as a surgeon and teacher in Australia and overseas, as well as to professional medical groups. Mr Summerson was recognised for his significant service to the finance, commerce and business sectors, to the arts and the community.

“I would like to again congratulate Dr Michael Gardner and Mr Neil Summerson on their significant service to the community which was well-recognised in the Australian Honours awards. Wesley Medical Research, as a leader in clinical research, is fortunate to have benefited from their devotion and commitment to our mission of improving patient care over the years,” said Wesley Medical Research CEO and Director of Research, Prof David Paterson.
