COVID-19 Emergency Appeal
COVID-19 Emergency Appeal
Never Before Has Medical Research Been More Critical.
Unprecedented. Unsettling. Uncertain.
There is another word to describe the COVID-19 pandemic that is even more concerning:
Unanswered.
The only way to find answers is through research, and the only way we can do research is with your help.
We launched the Wesley Medical Research COVID-19 Rapid Response Research Centre to allow our UnitingCare doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals to rapidly respond to evolving knowledge and information to answer the hard questions around COVID-19.
Questions like:
- What is the best way to treat critically ill patients with COVID-19?
- When is the right time to use a ventilator so that doctors don’t have to choose one patient’s life over another?
- How can we keep our frontline healthcare workers safe from COVID-19 infection?
- Does a cure for COVID-19 already exist?
- How do we protect our most vulnerable from the virus?
- How do we stop COVID-19 infection rates from growing exponentially around the globe?
- How do we save lives?
There are now more than 24 million reported cases of COVID-19 in the world, and over 800,000 deaths. By the time you read this, there will be more.
Yet, these questions – like so many others – remain unanswered. The only way to find answers is through research, and the only way we can do research is with your help.
Never before has medical research been more critical than it is today!
We urgently need your support to find answers sooner... and save more lives.
