About this clinical trial

We need your help to improve the health and wellbeing of women after treatment for gynaecological cancer.

Your participation in our study, ‘Enhancing treatment outcomes after gynaecological cancer’ (ACUMEN): Investigating the effect of exercise via telehealth on quality of life will help us to determine if exercise has a positive effect on recovery following treatment.

Enhancing treatment outcomes after gynaecological cancer

Eligibility

ACUMEN For All is examining the effects of exercise on quality of life for women following gynaecological cancer treatment. The way we are doing this is by randomly allocating you to one of two groups:

  1. Intervention – immediately commence a supervised exercise program by an exercise professional for 12 weeks via video call.
  2. Waitlist – wait 12 weeks, then commence 12 weeks of exercise via video call.

The exercise sessions are tailored to you, your current capacity, and your goals. You will be guided by a qualified exercise physiologist and all participants will receive a FitBit© Smart watch.

Your experiences about your health, wellbeing and coping with everyday life after treatment will help build better outcomes in the lives of women diagnosed in the future.

Do you meet the following criteria?

If you are over 18 years and have completed treatment for gynaecological cancer within the last five years, we would like to hear from you.
